This lithium battery shipper is used for lithium battery shipments that are exempt from the requirements of UN packaging as specified in Section I of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. Components include a box, liner bag, self-sealing bubble-wrap pouch, and a label as outlined in figure 7.4.8 of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. The pouch is used to cushion and segregate the battery. Biodegradable peanuts (sold separately) can be used to fill void space and maintain cushioning distances.
This kit is designed to comply with ICAO/IATA packing instructions for excepted lithium batteries.
